About Barbara
Born and raised in Dublin to a creative family of jewellery and clothes designers. BB was immersed in art from an early age. A mainly self-taught artist, her former career as a dance and fitness instructor continues to inspire her to paint the vivid movement of the dancing figures.
BB’s passion for travel constantly fuels her imagination. Working mainly with acrylic paint, she strives to capture the ambiance of her journeys through America, New Zealand, Australia and Europe by blending unique colours that reflect her experiences. She has developed a distinctive style with the use of a palette knife as it allows her the freedom to create her unique figures, flowers, seascapes and landscapes. BB’s paintings can be found among the private collection of the National Stud, the Foley Banking Group, the Great Southern Hotels and also in the collections of some of Ireland’s best loved sporting celebrities.
