Our Friends of St Luke’s Walkers are heading to Japan this year (October/November) as we continue celebrating 26 incredible years of walking together!
On our return from GOA in 2000, little did we imagine that the friendships formed and the shared adventures would carry us forward for a further 26 years. That very first walk in GOA, India was a tremendous success and sparked a journey that has since brought our Walkers to more than 20 overseas destinations across the globe.
Over the years, we have explored unforgettable places such as the historic city of Hanoi, Vietnam, the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Kathmandu, nestled in the foothills of Mount Everest. We’ve walked through tea plantations in South India, encountered wildlife in Kenya and Tanzania, and experienced cultures that many only ever dream of seeing. Each walk has been truly life-changing.
This year, our journey takes us to the remarkable country of Japan — a land where ancient tradition meets modern innovation. From serene temples and peaceful gardens to breathtaking landscapes and unique cultural experiences, Japan promises to be another unforgettable chapter in our walking story.
Our continued success is without doubt thanks to the dedication and commitment of our core group of Walkers, who fundraise tirelessly and have remained part of the Friends of St Luke’s Walkers family throughout the years.
As well as creating life-long friendships and memories, our walks have raised over €1 million for The Friends of St. Luke’s.
Why not walk with us in Japan in 2026 and support this very worthy cause? Join us as we celebrate 26 years of walking — and make Japan our next unforgettable adventure!
