Luke's Climb for Luke's

Rathgar business man Luke Smith took on a spectacular Himalayan challenge to climb Annapurna IV, the world's 10th highest mountain, in April 2022 for St Luke's Cancer Hospital, Dublin. Luke funded his expedition and all donations he raised came directly to St Luke's.

Luke took part in a British led 5 week Himalayan Challenge, which will saw him trek to Base camp and then ascend Annapurna, the 10th biggest Mountain in the world. Annapurna IV is a spectacular 7,525 metre peak.  The climb required 4 camps to be set above Base Camp and was predominately over snow and ice. This was a very physically and mentally demanding challenge for which Luke has trained hard over the last year. Unfortunately due to extreme weather he did not ascend the summit.  The Friends, Luke's family and all his supporters are so proud of his challenge and he raised over €10,000 for St Luke's - thank you to everyone who supported him
