St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research was set up in 1992. The Clinical Trials Resource Unit was established in 2002 by St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research to strive to introduce the latest technologies and techniques for the benefit of patients and to do so on a basis of sound evidence, focusing on radiation oncology.
St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research is supporting radiation therapy based research and allied research across the three centres of St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network. Each year, The Friends of St Luke’s provide a research grant for cancer research carried out at the Clinical Trials Resource Unit and St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research.
